Palmy appeal puts The Jefferson at 90 per cent sold

The lure of Palm Beach proved too strong for surfer Marco Assanti who is packing up his Melbourne home to take up residence at Lacey Group’s boutique apartment project, The Jefferson.

Currently under construction on one of the Coast’s most sought-after beachside strips, Jefferson Lane, the project has just four of its 46 apartments remaining and is set to welcome its first residents in mid-2019.

Mr Assanti plans to waste no time moving into his two-bedroom abode that will put him just steps from the beach with ocean views.

“I’m counting down the days to be honest. My biggest passion is surfing, but it’s incredibly cold jumping into the surf at Bells Beach and Torquay, so you can see why I’m incredibly excited to call Palm Beach my new home,” said Mr Assanti.

“I was drawn to The Jefferson immediately. I love the sea, I love the beach, and my new apartment has stunning views across the ocean – which was my main motivation to purchase.

“I looked at a few different properties on the Gold Coast, but the beachfront location, contemporary architecture and surrounding amenities at The Jefferson meant its livability aspect was unmatched.”

Mr Assanti, who has spent a large part of his career in hospitality, said the prospect of opening a business in the area was also a huge draw card. “For me, Palm Beach is just now breaching the surface of what’s cool in current trends within the hospitality industry, and I’m hoping to be a part of that community in the future,” he said.

“It’s such a unique area on the Gold Coast and I’m looking forward to being across the road from hotspots like The Collective, Barefoot Barista and the upcoming retail shopping precinct Palm Beach Pavilions.

“It’s a smaller, emerging community, which in the years to come will just be more and more desirable. “Palm Beach and its surrounds resonated so much more with me than other areas of the Coast and Byron Bay.

“While I love to surf, I need more than just a few beaches. The location of The Jefferson offers all the amenities you need, while maintaining that village feel, which is perfect for someone like me in their mid-thirties.”

Sales in The Jefferson have reached $30 million with 42 of the 46 one, two and three-bedroom apartments now sold.

Lacey Group director Adam Lacey said buyers looking to purchase their own slice of beachside bliss would have to act fast.

“Buyers have been quick to recognise the value on offer, with owner occupiers captured by The Jefferson’s premier beachside position, and investors impressed with strong rental returns of 5.75 per cent,” he said.

“The project’s completion will coincide with the opening of the Palm Beach Pavilions retail village, adding value and convenience for owner occupiers and investors.

“The Jefferson’s stunning views are matched only by the quality and design of the build, which we’ve created in partnership with BDA Architects.

“The project embodies its famous address, with luxury apartments that are both functional and contemporary featuring generously-sized floor plans – up to 203sqm – and floor-to-ceiling windows that capture views, natural light and breezes.

“The Jefferson also features resident-only facilities, including an exclusive recreation deck with a plunge pool, barbeque and private lounge area.”

Remaining apartments start from $389,000 for one bedroom and $549,000 for two bedrooms.
